Link is a group of award-winning social enterprise companies serving more than 15,000 customers – making them one of the largest social landlords in Scotland.
The primary objective of the procurement was to provide Link Group with a call-off contract to procure lone worker protection services.
Customer support was a fundamental part of the procurement, with high expectations of the awarded supplier ability to support and add value to Link Group in a tangible and meaningful manner.
The services provided had to be backed up by Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
WHAT WE DID
We worked with Link Group to assess the best procurement approach to meet their needs and selected to run a mini competition using Procurement for Housing’s Lone Worker Systems Framework.
We ran a series of workshops with the key stakeholders across the business to define what their requirements were for a replacement solution / service.
As a result of these workshops and meetings we developed a detailed specification of requirements which was used for the mini competition.
We worked with Link Group’s internal procurement team to get the tender published.
During the response period we assisted with answering bidders’ questions.
Once the responses were received, we analysed each bidder’s response and worked with the project team to agree a consensus score. Suppliers were shortlisted and invited in to demonstrate their solutions.
Following the demonstrations, we worked with the project team to finalise the analysis and confirm who was the winning bidder.
WHAT WE ACHIEVED
As a result of the procurement, we have helped Link Group select a new lone worker solution. This new solution and service will ensure Link Group’s staff are properly protected when they go about delivering their services to their customers.
