Futures Housing

Futures Housing Group (Futures) is an ambitious, growing business which provides 10,000 affordable homes throughout the East Midlands, with more than 6,000 homes in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and more than 3,500 homes in Northamptonshire.

By 2023 Futures are planning to develop more than 2,200 new homes for rent, homes for sale, shared ownership and private-market rent.

OBJECTIVE

To develop a detailed specification of requirements for repairs mobile working.

WHAT WE DID

To understand the current position in terms of the use of the existing systems and how they supported or hindered the day-to-day operations, we held several meetings and workshops and spent time onsite observing how the staff used the systems.

We met with key individuals from the IT team to understand their key IT Architectural principles and standards.

As a result of these meetings we produced a detailed specification of requirements which was split into two LOTs.

LOT 1 – Enterprise Mobile Working Solution

LOT 2 – Enterprise Mobile Working, Scheduling and Repairs Management Solution.

The draft specification was reviewed by the key stakeholders, and based on the feedback received we updated and finalised the specification.

Once this was finalised, we provided a presentation to Futures IT Governance Board.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED

In a very short timescale, we worked with the business to develop a detailed specification of requirements for repairs mobile working and the organisations wider requirements for mobile working and scheduling.
